Help Fold Origami Tsuru (Cranes)!

Can you fold origami cranes?! We are collecting Origami Tsuru (Cranes) for a 2 year old girl battling leukemia. Please send your folded cranes to:

and we will pass it along for Hannah's garland of peace and healing! Below is a letter I received from one of customers. Please read and send in your Tsuru!

***********************************************
My dear friends,

Many of you know of Hannah's devastating news of yesterday. She is now on her way with her parents to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. For those of you who do not, Hannah is the two year old beautiful daughter of Matt and Heidi, who has been given a grim diagnosis of  leukemia.

It is always so heartwrenching when the world is turned upside down for a child is this manner, those of us who find ourselves with nothing to say or do always seek to do or give something. As I drove to Mass today I remembered the story of Sadako and the thousand cranes, a Japanese tale of a young girl afflicted with illness (I think it was leukemia) following the bombing of Hiroshima. In this story the young girl seeks to fulfill a Japanese legend of folding a thousand cranes to become well again.

I am asking everyone to join us in folding cranes for Hannah, folding into each crane a whisper of prayer and recovery for little Hannah. You can hang them in your window, put them in your car, at work or send them to me and we will string them into garlands. I have included a web link that informs about the paper crane legend and how there are strung for peace and sent to the Children's Monument in Hiroshima's Peace Park. There are also instructions for folding the paper cranes.

Please consider folding a prayer crane for Hannah and all children afflicted with disease. I hope to fold a thousand cranes a thousand fold.

Please pass the word and pray for Hannah's family.

I thank you.
Peacefully and full of love,
Elaine
