Holiday Season (Nov-Dec) FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

When is it too late to order jewelry for Christmas? It depends on the item(s) that you order. I try to make the more popular ones in advance as much as possible to clear up time for me to make the customized jewelry (see info on that below), but please remember: our jewelry is handcrafted in New York and I only have 2 hands! In the USA, we use USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days), but the post office also slows down during the holidays, and once it leaves my studio, I will email you the delivery confirmation number so that you can track it online, but I cannot take responsibility for their service. In the past few years, they've been surprisingly fast in general, and I have confidence in their services. I will be posting more information and dates closer to the Holdiay season, to keep you most informed with current news!

When is it too late to order customized jewelry? Every year, I post a DEADLINE for customized jewelry here! I make the jewelry in the order that it is received to be most fair to my customers, so please take that into consideration when placing your order. In the past, I have been able to fulfill every online order before I went on my holiday vacation, but I'm not sure this year because I have to take care of Dylan, too. I will keep an updated schedule of deadlines on this page during the holidays.

Do you have Express Mail as a Shipping and Handling option? Yes, but only for the Domestic USA orders! We can send out your order via the USPS Express Mail Service, which is overnight to most cities, 2nd day to Hawaii, Alaska, and non-urban areas of the USA. Please note, however, that this option is more expensive (starts at $21.95), and it is overnight/2nd day FROM THE DAY THAT IT LEAVES OUR STUDIO in NYC. Depending on your order (see janetjewelry.com Express Service, below), it may not be worth the additional cost, but it is totally up to you. Express Mail Packages can be tracked online.

What's my other option in the USA? With the Regular S&H (starting at $6.95), I mail packages via the USPS Priority Mail, & every November, we have free S&H on all orders over $100! It usually takes 2-3 days from the day that it is mailed from NYC to urban areas, 4-5 days to Hawaii, Alaska, and non-urban mainland USA. HOWEVER, the US Postal System slows down considerably and unpredictably during the Holiday Season!!! Once the jewelry leaves my studio, I cannot be held accountable for your package! I will email you a Delivery Confirmation Number as soon as your package is sent so that you can TRACK IT ONLINE if you wish.

Do you have S & H options for International Orders? Sorry, we don't. We send all International Orders via USPS Global Priority Mail, which is available to many countries, but NOT ALL. To check a country in question, please check out the United States Postal Service website: http://www.usps.com. If Global Priority is unavailable, I will mail it USPS Parcel Post.

Do certain items take longer/shorter to leave your studio? Yes! All items that are custom made to order, like the Postmodern Candy Series, the Significant Others' Rings, and the Girl Tag Necklaces, etc, will take longer. If it's just a chain length or bead color, it won't take as long.

I want to send your jewelry directly to some of my friends and/or family. How can I send your jewelry to several addresses? Sorry for the inconvenience, but you must fill out a separate order for each address. This is the only way that I can ensure that the right present goes to the right person/address, and it is the only way that I can afford to keep the S & H at its low rate.

When we send an order out to a person/address that is different from the billing name/address, we send it out as a gift. This means, that we send the gift with a packing slip marked "Gift," and will include the name of the sender, and we will exclude the price. The bill will be mailed to you separately.

If you'd like to add a personalized message to the gift receiver, we will handwrite a message for you free of charge. Please EMAIL ME for this option IMMEDIATELY after placing your order, and write your order number as part of the subject title.

Do you have giftboxes? Yes, free of charge! I put a little janetjewelry.com tag on each item, wrap them individually in anti-tarnish tissue, and package all my jewelry in really cool(!) oatmeal colored janetjewelry.com gift boxes.

Since you don't have a big warehouse full of stuff, what if I order something that you don't have in stock? I update my site regularly, so if I run out of something (a part that I don't make, i.e. a specific crystal color, Italian Glass, etc), it will be posted online that day. If you already placed the order beforehand (i.e. I do sleep), I will let you know right away via email, and I will give you an approximate date as to when I will have it. At that time, you have the option to wait, to make changes to your order, or to cancel the order.

Do you have Gift Certificates? Yes! In the online store under MISCELLANEOUS, I have Gift Certificates available in increments of $50, from $50 to $150. We can email an ONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATE that can now be redeemed online! For Gift Certificate amounts not listed, please email me and I can do a Special Order for you.
