about our virtual store
I think the beauty of the internet is that you can browse around and push random buttons & links and find the most interesting things! If you like going this random route, all the buttons on the left, at the top of the homepage, at the bottoms of the info pages, and all pink underlined words are links to other things, so please click any of the buttons that interest you!
For people new to my site, my website is split into two main parts:
1. Homepage and information site
2. Online Store
To go to the HOMEPAGE & Info Section at any time, click the janetjewelry logo at the top left at any time.
To go to the ONLINE STORE at any time, click the "Online Store" button next to that at the top of all the pages.
ABOUT THE HOMEPAGE:
The homepage has all the news information about what's currently going on with our site, so it's a good place to start every month you check back, because the Customer Appreciation, Monthly Sales, New Items, & Artist of the Month buttons are all there! Click the Image of whatever section interests you! While you're there, don't forget sign in as a member of our Customer Appreciation Specials--you must be signed in by the last day of the month prior to take advantage of the specials!
I love random information and things, especially when it comes to shopping, eating, or Japanese pop culture, so if you have the time, feel free to browse around the info site (buttons under "Welcome" on the left, or across the top of the homepage)! You can read my bio, the philosophy behind my jewelry, how and why I started this business, testimonials from my customers, press coverage of my jewelry, my personal photo gallery, about the fund raiser I'm doing, my "Embarrassing Myself into Better Health" page, and most importantly for me, my Thank You page because so many people inspire, encourage, and support me in different ways and I am so grateful for that.
I also have information on FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), which I've divided into three parts: Regular FAQs, Holiday FAQs, and Post Holiday FAQs. The Regular FAQs are the general questions, like about my jewelry, what materials I use, jewelry terminalogy, and things like that. The Holiday FAQs cover immediacy issues, like info on Express Options, how to make orders to several addresses, and Gift Certificates. The Post Holiday FAQs covers mostly our Exchange Policy.
Last, but not least on the Information side of our site, is our Privacy Policy. It details how I gather information to make improvements as best I can, and any changes to this policy will be posted on that page. I value my privacy and hate junk mail, so I promise not to sell, trade, or rent out my mailing list! I only email news once a month to people who sign up for my contests and/or Customer Appreciation Club, have ordered jewelry from me before, or have made inquiries about my jewelry, but if you'd rather check out the site on your own terms, you have the option to unsubscribe, too!
INFORMATION ABOUT THE ONLINE STORE:
When you click on the "Online Store" button at the top, it'll take you into the main page of the Online Store. This page will have the current events of that month, i.e. sales, specials, Artist of the Month, & New Items! It also explains the details about my signature line, the Post Modern Candy Series, and the Kung Fu Line (the only non-sterling jewelry I make).
All the buttons on the left will take you into whatever category you choose, and you can click on any of the preview photos for a larger image and detailed information about that product. Remember: almost every item in our online store is customizable, so check out the details!
If you're shopping for a gift and you want some ideas, you can click on "Gift Ideas," at the left, and I've categorized items by Budget, Age Group, and Customizable Gifts.
The TOP BUTTONS of the online store are your shopping cart buttons:
ACCOUNT: this is the same as your SIGN IN button. Please log on here first if you want to take advantage of any advertised specials.
SEARCH: If you want to do a search within our online store, click the "Search" button at the top, and you can put in a partial name of the item, genre category (i.e. "star" if you want to see a list of accessories with stars), or if you want to do a search on matching items.
PRODUCT LIST: This button lists all the products in our store. If you want to see any of the list items, click the item code. (This button is not very useful in my opinion, as we have over 100 products!)
BASKET CONTENTS: If you want to know what you have in your shopping cart before you check out or buy more things, this will give you a list!
CHECKOUT: Click this button if you have what you want in your virtual shopping cart, and are ready to check out! It has all the pertinent information and will take you through the process step by step, so if you're not used to shopping online, please read all the information before filling in the info and clicking the "Continue" buttons!
