VALENCIA, SPAIN--THE MOTO GP FINALS with ALPINESTARS!
THE DAY OF THE RACE!

AlpineStarsMobile
Malcolm drove us around in these AlpineStarsMobiles...

AlpineStars Tent
Like the Ducati Trailor in the previous section, AlpineStar' tent was plush & pimpin' as well.... And they had the BEST FOOD! Drool....

Malcolm & Randy
Relaxing in the AlpineStar Tent pre-race. Randy is a former Moto GP racer and is a spokesperson worldwide for Moto GP events. Now's he's part of the Ducati Team.

The AlpineStars Uniform
We were ALL decked out in AlpineStars gear, which is easy because they have really cool stuff! I met Denise, who is the head designer for the women's wear, and she is so incredibly articulate, interesting, and super nice! I like their jackets and bags because it has a lot of useful pockets--I hate carrying around a bag, so it's perfect for me!

BTW, I took a sneak peak at their Spring 2004 line when I was in Italy, and they have a really cute pink velour zip top with their logo on it! Look for it in cool stores near you who carry AlpineStars gear!

Chad Kagy & Puppeto
Chad broke his neck at the Gravity Games in 2003 (I think in the trials, not comp?) and still had to wear this neck brace for the most part of our trip. He had his 6th & 7th vertebraes fused together, and has tons of other metal bits and pieces holding his frame together....

He said he'll be starting rehab in March 2004, and he's already qualified for the X-Games this year, so check him out!

Nicky Hayden, for the Honda/Repsol Team
Hello....can you say, "hottie?" Nicky's one of the few Americans on this International Moto GP circuit, and he's only 22, too.

He placed in the top 5 for the trials but didn't place so well in the Moto GP Final this year....However, he's the "Rookie of the Year" and I'm sure you'll be seeing more of him in 2004.

Atop the AlpineStars Setup
I couldn't have asked for better weather! Not too hot, not too cold, and not a cloud in the sky!

All of us atop the AlpineStars Trailor
L to R: Merv, Chad Kagy, Jamie & Kerry Bestwick, and me.

Umbrella Girls
I downloaded Merv's digital camera, and there were SO MANY umbrella girl photos. What the...?

Ah....it's actually PUPPETO, with the Umbrella girls as backdrop. I see....

The Non-Umbrella Girls
Kerry & Me at the race. Hey, it be TOO COLD for miniskirts, yo!

In da club....
Malcolm (AlpineStars USA Rep); Jamie Bestwick & Chad Kagy (BMX medalists in the X-Games); Randy Mamola (former Moto GP rider); Gabrielle (owner of AlpineStars); Merv (male model).

Right before the race....
How the track looked from where we sat....

The VIP seating--from where we sat!
That's where the pit is, and the trailors are all behind there.

Our seating area
There are sectioned seats, not reserved seats, and there was ample space for all of us!

L to R: Merv, me, John (he's the photographer for AlpineStars), Kerry & Jamie.

Watching the Race
I've never been to a major motorcycle race before, so it was really exciting! Plus, this was the final race for the MotoGP circuit, and there was a Spanish rider (I forgot his name, sorry), and the fans in Valencia wents nuts for him!

Winning Hats!
I'm a huge Honda fan, and the hat I was wearing is one of my dad's old hats (it's old school, yo!), a REAL mesh hat from back in the day! You can't see it but I'm wearing a Honda tank, too.... And, can I say, Honda finished first (Valentino Rossi!), second, and fourth?

Merv's wearing his too-cool-for-school AlpineStars mesh hat.
