Places to GO in Hawaii!
Of course, the first thing on my agenda is to spend time with my family, but here are a few places that I try my best to make time to go! And yes, they are mostly food places....

Leonard's Bakery
933 Kapahulu Ave.

For our first breakfast, Merv & I always drive down to pick up at least a dozen malasadas (Portugese doughnuts) for us and my family! They're light and fluffy!

JuJuBe Salon
449 Kapahulu Ave (The New Otani Hotel, 2nd Fl). (808)732-3637.

The most relaxing pedicure place with the best view! (About 1 hour, $35).

Be sure to make an appointment, because they only have room for one!

The Bead Gallery Honolulu
250 Ward Ave, 2nd Fl.

The best bead shop! I'm like a kid in a candy store here....

Drive along the Pali or H3
This is a photo off the Pali Hwy. I love the cliffs on the northeastern side of the island! We didn't have time to go through the H3 this last trip....

The Bistro
1750 Kalakaua Ave. (The Century Center), 3rd fl.

It's a new French restaurant, and we went there for my mom's birthday. Very classy, nice ambience, and a deeeelicious Cherries Jubilee (photo, right)!

l had a filet mignon topped with foie gras and a Port and Madeira wine sauce. Yum!

I highly recommend it for a nice, romantic, dinner out!

Plate Lunch @ Grace's
1296 South Beretania St.

My favorite used to be Meeyong's Korean BBQ, but her shop closed down! Doh!

In high school, we used to come here for lunch for the Chicken Cutlet Plate.

Golf @ Pearl Country Club
Near Pearl Ridge. (808)487-1557

It's a public golf course, and I've been playing here since the 4th grade! It's really hilly, making it very challenging, and they have a great view of Pearl Harbor.

KuriKuri Sushi
At the Pearl Kai Center

My mom's friend opened up this place a few months ago. It's really inexpensive, and great for sushi-neophytes because you just grab the plate that you want, eat it, and they count the number of plates you have at the end!

All the plates are color coded by price!

Fruity Drinks with Friends!
Any hotel!

There's something about having a fruity alcoholic beverage with a pineapple slice on the edge, with either an orchid or umbrella on top of your drink!

Call your good friends, and just kick back, relax, and remind yourself that you're in Hawaii!
